A Tuscaloosa native, Beth Curry obtained her bachelor’s degree in math from Birmingham-Southern College and later graduated UAB with a master’s in physical therapy. She has two adult children and is married to her number one teammate and encourager, Linda Malone. The first 25 years of her career were spent in a typical healthcare setting. She then served as Lakeshore Foundation’s chief program officer for ten years, where she encouraged people living with disabilities and chronic health conditions to lead healthy and active lifestyles. Beth's cancer journey began in 2013 when a mass was found during a routine mammogram. At stage 1, she underwent a lumpectomy, radiation and chemotherapy.  However, in 2017, just short of her five year diagnosis anniversary, metastasis to bone was discovered. After receiving her stage 4 diagnosis, Beth continued to work for a year before retiring to improve her quality of life. Beth enjoys playing golf, gardening, activities at her church, cooking, volunteering and spending time with friends and family, particularly her 3-year-old granddaughter. Knowing that she will always be in some form of treatment, Beth and her family are determined to live their best lives, one day at a time. Her and Linda both are in admiration of the wonderful work being done at Forge.

Daniel Grier, founder of Splashed by DKG, hails from Birmingham, Alabama. The luxury streetwear brand, famous for making flashy prints and bold statements, came into existence in the fall of 2013. The life-changing diagnosis that Grier received the same year instigated the launch of Splashed by DKG during a challenging period. Splashed by DKG reignited Daniel's passion for fashion and gave him purpose once again. His bold artwork added a unique "Splash" to garments and inspired newfound confidence within those who wore them. With a renewed sense of purpose, Daniel set out to leave his mark on the world through his creative expression. Daniel, the founder of Splashed by DKG, created Magic City Fashion Week to highlight the talent in his hometown of Birmingham. The platform, established in 2017, serves as an inclusive forum for creatives to showcase and refine their expertise in the fashion industry. The initiative caters to various demographics of the community, providing a safe space for designers to network, exchange ideas, and gain exposure to the industry's leaders. DKG's Splashed brand has made waves in the fashion industry, with over 50 fashion shows, five fashion weeks, and numerous features in blogs and magazines. In addition, Daniel's childhood dream of dressing celebrities and being on television is now a reality, and he has worked with big names such as Prince Royce, Tamar Braxton, Eva Marcille, Karrueche Tran, Anuel, and Tyler Perry.
