Daphne Huff is a Birmingham native. She's a Ramsay High School graduate and received her bachelors of science in early childhood and elementary education from the University of Alabama. (Daphne says "Roll Tide Roll!") After her second breast cancer diagnosis, Daphne's doctors discovered the cancer had metastized to a lymph node. Daphne says she is "God's Favorite," crediting Him with saving her through two breast cancer diagnoses by providing her "amazing cancer doctors, support staff and Forge!" Through Forge, Daphne was connected with fellow breast cancer survivor and Haute Pink model Betty Shivers. Betty serves as Daphne's peer counselor. "Betty Shivers has been my angel!" says Daphne. "I am still standing better than I ever did - surviving warrior princess!"
Aaliyah Taylor is the founder and designer of Exalting in Beauty. A proud Birmingham native, Aaliyah says she lives for bright colors and designs. She's known for handcrafting "ear candy" made from Perler Beads and for her slow-design, wearable art. In June, Aaliyah won the fourth season of the Magic City Fashion Week Emerging Designer Competition. She says that competition pushed her "to go forth with confidence and boldness in the fashion industry." The inspiration behind Aaliyah's jewelry and clothes is non-conformity and freedom. "The goal behind every design is to lead every person to feel unique and beautifully different in my designs," says Aaliyah. "Everything that I create is purposed to bring joy and to enhance and exalt the unique beauty of God's creation."
