Lexie Appleby is the proud wife to UAB Wide Receivers Coach Austin Appleby, a Doodle mom, former NFL cheerleader, pageant titleholder and the current International Regional Director at Best Buddies International. Diagnosed with Stage 1B breast cancer on Dec. 1, 2022, at 28-years-old, just six months after her wedding, Lexie’s journey through diagnosis, treatment and recovery has deepened her faith and strengthened her resolve to live life with purpose. Throughout her treatment, including a single mastectomy, fertility preservation, 25 rounds of radiation, hormone therapy and breast reconstruction, she balanced her battle with cancer alongside moving across the country from Missouri, starting a new life in Alabama and continuing her professional journey. Now in remission since May 2023, Lexie is dedicated to providing hope and encouragement to others who are facing adversity while continuing ongoing hormone therapy treatments for the next five to 10 years. Out of her journey, Lexie launched "Born to Sparkle," a motivational platform designed toinspire others to embrace life’s challenges and find sparkle in every moment. Through "Born to Sparkle," she shares her story and connects with others, turning her personal trials and lifestyle into the reminder that you are glitterally amazing.
Kenya B.... dreamer, believer and entrepreneur. Those are all characteristics of what drives this crazy colorful designer. Kenya B., like most people, had no clue what career path she wanted to take.
