Linda Holmes is a breast cancer survivor and lives in Selma. She studied business administration at Trenholm State Technical College in Montgomery.  She retired from the Alabama Office of The Secretary of State as Personnel Director. Linda is a member of the Historic Brown Chapel AME Church in Selma. She is a former Executive Director of Tourism for her home church. In 1965, Linda was a foot soldier during the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Movements. Her main desire in life is to be more Christlike, so that others can see Jesus in her. Linda is married to Bruce L. Holmes, Sr. They have nine children.
