Robbie Douglas was raised in Fultondale, but currently resides in the Gardendale/Mt.Olive area. “A fun fact about me is I am deaf/read lips, no hearing in my left ear and barely any hearing in my right ear but that's a story for another time,” she said. She has an AA in Early Childhood Development Education, and taught "littles" for 20 years. She also spent a few years on the dementia/Alzheimer's unit at a local Birmingham elder care facility. She has been taking care of her mother-in-law for the last nine years, who is currently on hospice. “I have an amazing family: my husband John, and three young adult children—Dara, 23, Brendan, 20, and Raylee, 18,” Robbie said. “We also have a houseful of pets: a German Shepherd named Samson, three Shih Tzus named Shannie, Sienna and Sprout, a terrier mix named Hobo Joe and a Persian doll face cat named Sage.” In her freetime, she loves opening her home to host events, throw themed parties for family and friends and hold a women’s Bible study on Tuesdays. She also loves Jesus, crafting painting, hanging out with her husband and attending Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in North Gardendale. In May 2022, she was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ after her yearly mammogram.“When I told my family and friends, my rules were no getting upset, no tears and no sulking. I was either going to be fine or I was going to be with Jesus and either way, I won,” she said. After her mastectomy in July 2022, her family, friends and church rallied around her, lifting her up, keeping her in good spirits, praying with her and keeping her busy. A couple of weeks later, her doctor informed her that there was “no evidence of disease." She and her husband rejoiced and began making phone calls and sending texts. “I have been very transparent and honest and open about my journey with breast cancer,” Robbie said. “I have found an unwavering faith in my journey and I hope my story is an example of Jesus, friendship and family to everyone I meet.”

Born in Florida and raised in Alabama, Elizabeth Singleton creates from her heart and soul. After over a decade of experience in the fashion industry through internships in New York and Alabama, a small role in a bridal reality tv show and a design and production career in the bridal fashion industry, she made the decision to take a leap of faith out of her bridal career to pursue whatever God would put on her heart. Since then, the University of Alabama alumna has been on a journey of taking care of her mental health, emotional healing, self reflection, and redefining who she is as a designer. In the meantime she has graciously worked with custom clients constructing designs from scratch and offering high-end tailoring services. Elizabeth’s goal with each client is to highlight what makes them unique through the design, and to encourage them to feel confident in who they were created to be. Working with each person has brought her pure joy. The precious moments Elizabeth has shared with her family, clients and friends combined with her journey of rediscovering who she is led her to launch her brand, “it’s111brand,” through a pop-up runway show earlier this year on January 11, 2024 (1112024). "By the grace of God, every seat was full," said Elizabeth. It was beautiful and she still cannot believe it really happened. More details of Elizabeth’s brand will be released soon, but for now she is focused on working with her model, breast cancer survivor and instant new best friend Robbie, and guess what else, another sweet bride’s beautiful custom bridal design plus her fiancé’s custom tuxedo look.
